| Shanghai Pesticide Research Institute (SPRI),established in1963,is the first professional pesticide institute in Spri.After being approved by the Science & Technology Committee of PRC,it became the base for Shanghai Branch of Nati-onal Pesticide R&D South center.There are some organizations such as Shanghai Research Center of Biochemical Technology,Ministry of Chemical Industry affi-liated, Shanghai Pesticide standard committee,Shanghai Pesticide Examination Center,Shanghai Pesticide Science and Technology information center set in it. The Institute is also engaged in editing and issuing of the professional journal <World Pesticide> (formal name is <Translated Collection of Pesticid-e>. In 2000, we were approved to do import and export trade.Since the establi-shment, SPRI has developed more than 150 science research achiev -ements,90 of them have been put into industrial Production (including over 20 intermedia-tes).The main Productions are tradimefon,jianganmycin,liuyangmycin,Abamec -tin, Acrylamide made by biofermentation,fenvalerate,Imidacloprid,Quinclorac,-Brodifacoum, metribuzin, nicotinamide,etc.12 patent applications have been done in Spri and overseas.We won 53 national,departmental,provincial or muni-cipal science and technology progress-making awards We also took char-ge and accomplished more than 10 national science and technology tackle key items. |
